How We End. was shortlisted for The 2016 Paris Photo - Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards

“A relationship ends and you pick up the pieces. But what if those pieces are images, or pieces of images?” asks David Campany. This book is a funny, sad, and smart work that pairs the succinct writing of Hannah Schneider with the inventive collage work of Kate Stone. Each image is paired with a brief short story by an anonymous narrator; each detail of the end of a relationship is described. “The wit is as sharp as the scissors. As the stories of stumbling relationships build up, so do the collages, and the result is an exciting image-text form,” David Campany says.
